The Vocal Scholarship Program is an opportunity for students who would normally be unable to undertake vocal lessons and those who are passionate about developing their skills as a vocal performer. The scholarship program differs from normal lessons as students are provided with exclusive performance opportunities, including eisteddfods and talent quests, and are given more opportunities to gain recording experience and develop as an artist.
The Scholarship is open to students from all backgrounds and all walks of life. While most students under the age of 18 years will require the permission of a parent or primary carer to apply for the scholarship and undertake lessons, students will not be disqualified from being awarded the scholarship if currently experiencing circumstances where this is not possible.
Two types of scholarships are available:
Full Scholarship: 4 Terms of weekly 60 minute vocal lessons at no cost (available only to HSC and tertiary music students)
Partial Scholarship: 4 Terms of weekly 30 minute vocal lessons at no cost OR 4 Terms of weekly 60 minute vocal lessons at the cost of 30 minute lessons.
The Scholarship requires a 4 Term commitment to lessons. Students will be expected to dedicate a significant amount of time and energy to the development of their vocal and performance skills. The scholarship program is not available to students via Skype.
